Project Background

The CSP supports the Department of Environmental Affairs in climate change policy development. The programme is split into different components, such as mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions, adaptation to the adverse effects of climate change, support to Flagship Programmes And Monitoring And Evaluation.

General Responsibilities:

  • Support the component manager (flagship support projects) in project management functions;
  • Support the component manager with project control functions;
  • Preparation and organisation of meetings, including follow up with participants;
  • Workshop planning and preparations;
  • Project communication and PR.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management or related fields ideally with a focus on Climate Change;
  • Experience in public administration will be an advantage;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Proven administrative and project management skills;
  • Very good computer skills (Microsoft office package, e-learning tools, internet research).
